Whether it's a wedge or a heel, the kitten's back. Historically, the kitten heel was introduced during the 1950s as a type of 'trainer' for the stereotypical Pleasantville tween. Now, of course, shoe gurus such as Manolo Blahnik, Christian Louboutin, and Jimmy Choo do their own version. Trouble is, as Shondra pointed out, it gives every woman a cankle.
